IS TODAY THE ONLY DAY OF SALVATION?

The Good News Is Bigger Than a Deadline

“Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.”
— 2 Corinthians 6:2, WEB

We often hear, “Today is the day of salvation!” But does this mean today is the only possible day God can save someone?

Christian Universalism says no. Today is truly a day of salvation, but Scripture does not require us to believe that God's saving work ends at death.

WHY DOES TODAY MATTER?

God's grace is available today. Christ calls us today. We can receive forgiveness, reconciliation, and new life today. There is no reason to postpone coming to Christ.

“The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.”
— Mark 1:15, WEB

BUT IS SALVATION LIMITED TO THIS LIFE?

The Bible speaks of God's saving purpose in remarkably universal terms:

“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
— John 12:32, WEB

“For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:22, WEB

“Through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens.”
— Colossians 1:20, WEB

“That God may be all in all.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:28, WEB

These passages point toward God's ultimate victory in Christ—not an eternal defeat in which sin and death permanently hold part of creation.

WHAT ABOUT JUDGMENT?

Christian Universalism does not deny judgment. Sin has consequences, and Jesus seriously warned about them. But judgment does not necessarily mean eternal abandonment. God's judgment can be understood as part of His greater purpose of correction, purification, and reconciliation.

“For this reason the Good News was preached even to the dead.”
— 1 Peter 4:6, WEB

SO WHY COME TO CHRIST TODAY?

Because today matters. You can receive God's grace now. You can be reconciled to God now. You can begin a new life in Christ now. You can become an instrument of God's love now.

The gospel is not merely a warning about what you might lose. It is good news about what God has accomplished in Jesus Christ.

COME TO CHRIST

“He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.”
— Revelation 22:17, WEB

COME TO CHRIST TODAY.

Turn from sin. • Trust Him. • Receive His grace. • Follow Him.

Today truly is a day of salvation—and the hope of the gospel is that God's saving purpose is ultimately greater than we can see.
